About Kenna Foundation

The Kenna Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, established for the purpose of promoting social justice and economic empowerment in Nigeria. The Foundation aims among others, to encourage the provision of pro-bono legal services to vulnerable and less privileged members of society who are ordinarily unable to access quality legal services. To achieve this, the Foundation has created a fund to finance its objectives.

The Foundation targets the provision of pro-bono legal services in areas such as rape/ defilement, police brutality/ extra judicial killings, prison decongestion particularly for inmates awaiting trial, widows’ right to properties, estate management, among others in Nigeria. To achieve its objectives, the Foundation supports legal practitioners in the provision of pro-bono legal services and seeks to create and improve societal awareness of the illegality and socio-economic consequences of the issues it deals with on the victims, perpetrators and the society.
