Mr Okechukwu Ekweanya is an Associate Partner in Kenna Partners, actively involved in both contentious and non-contentious briefs handled by the Firm.

He graduated from the University of Nigeria and is called to the Nigeria Bar. Mr Ekweanya holds a Masters of Law (LL.M) from Queen Mary, University of London, the United Kingdom. He commenced his legal practice in 2007, working in top tier laws firm in Lagos, Nigeria. After a stint in in-house legal practice in the oil & gas industry, Mr Ekweanya joined Kenna Partners in 2017 as a Senior Associate.

Having over a decade of active practice in the legal profession, Mr Ekweanya through his analytical and creative thinking proffers sound legal advice to Clients in the form of legal advisory and representative services. His finesse and advocacy skills are extensive, having represented Clients in all High Courts and Appellate Courts in the country up to the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He advises and represents Clients in the telecommunications, maritime, energy, banking and financial services sectors. He also advises corporations on compliance and corporate governance issues.
